10 WORST Jawline Exercisers in 2023 According to Experts

  • by Matt Phelps

Damaging Your Jawline is EASY These Days...

Let's Look at Which Tools are Dangerous

This list is NOT ranked in order. I wasn't willing to use all these jawline exercisers thoroughly to see which would destroy my jaw joint more than the others haha.

What makes these exercisers dangerous are the high pressure on incisor-teeth and the high pressure applied with a wide-open mouth.

10 Worst Jawline Exercisers

1. Jawzrsize
2. JawlineMe
3. Rockville
4. JawFit
5. JawGenie
6. JawFlex
7. JawForce
8. Vorsprung
9. Infinibi
10. Jumowa

1. JawzrsizeJawzrsize - jaw exerciser

✅ PROS

  • 👋 Most Well-Known Jaw Exerciser: Jawzrsize were one of the first on the market, their branding is recognizable
  • 👻 They Won't Scam You: Jawzrsize is a legitimate company and if you ask for a refund, you'll get it.
  • 🇺🇸 Made in USAmost jawline exercisers are made in China or Pakistan. That doesn't mean the quality is worse, but you don't know about the healthy and safety conditions of the workers.
  • 🔶 Available on Amazoneasy to get your hands on if you want one

❌ CONS

  • 🏚 They Break Quickly: I've never head of anyone having a Jawzrsize (that they used) that last longer than a month. The teeth mould part (see the picture above) usually falls out and you have to buy a replacement. If you've got different models, it can get extremely expensive fast.
  • 🙃 You'll Get a ROUND Face: I'm guessing that's not what you want right? Jaw exercisers that force your mouth to be so wide open, workout the temporalis muscles on the side of your head. Not your masseter muscle. That means the top half of your head will grow wider and more muscular. Not the lower part (your jawline).
  • 🦴 Causes Joint Damage & TMJ: the position Jawzrsize puts your jaw in is unnatural. Your mouth is so far open, and you apply high force in this already awkward position- placing extreme stress on your jaw hinge. Medical experts detest this type of jawline exerciser.
  • 🦷 Damages Your Teeth – this device applies all the pressure to your front incisor teeth. These teeth are made for piercing and tearing, NOT for grinding and applying high force like the molar teeth are. I'm surprised their aren't more stories of people damaging their teeth with Jawzrsize
  • 🤮 Produces Insane Amount of Saliva  you need to keep a bowl underneath your chin to catch all the liquid that pours out of your mouth
  • 🤡 Looks Like a BDSM Ball Gag  you can't use Jawzrsize in public... It looks too weird and it makes you gag

2. JawlineMe

Jawlineme

✅ PROS

  • 👻 They Won't Scam You: JawlineMe is a legitimate company and if you ask for a refund, you'll get it
  • 🇺🇸 Made in USAmost jawline exercisers are made in China or Pakistan. That doesn't mean the quality is worse, but you don't know about the healthy and safety conditions of the workers

❌ CONS

  • 🙃 You'll Get a ROUND Face: I'm guessing that's not what you want right? Jaw exercisers that force your mouth to be so wide open, workout the temporalis muscles on the side of your head. Not your masseter muscle. That means the top half of your head will grow wider and more muscular. Not the lower part (your jawline).
  • 🦴 Causes Joint Damage & TMJ: the position JawlineMe puts your jaw in is unnatural. Your mouth is so far open, and you apply high force in this already awkward position- placing extreme stress on your jaw hinge. Medical experts detest this type of jawline exerciser.
  • 🚨 Breaks Easily  the moulds that your teeth bite down into break quite quickly. Your incisor teeth are made for piercing after all. You either pay to replace them... or you continue using it without them and place even higher pressure on your front teeth
  • 🦷 Damages Your Teeth – this device applies all the pressure to your front incisor teeth. These teeth are made for piercing and tearing, NOT for grinding and applying high force like the molar teeth are. I'm surprised their aren't more stories of people damaging their teeth with JawlineMe
  • 🤮 Produces Insane Amount of Saliva  you need to keep a bowl underneath your chin to catch all the liquid that pours out of your mouth
  • 🤡 Looks Like a BDSM Ball Gag  you can't use JawlineMe in public... It looks too weird and it makes you gag

3. Rockville Jaw Exerciser

Rockville jaw exerciser

✅ PROS

  • 👋 Most Well-Known Jaw Exerciser: Jawzrsize were one of the first on the market, their branding is recognizable.
  • 👻 They Won't Scam You: Jawzrsize is a legitimate company and if you ask for a refund, you'll get it.

  • 🔶 Available on Amazoneasy to get your hands on if you want one

❌ CONS

  • 🏚 They Break Quickly: I've never head of anyone having a Rockville (that they used) that last longer than a month. The teeth mould part (see the picture above) usually falls out and you have to buy a replacement. If you've got different models, it can get extremely expensive fast
Not the lower part (your jawline)
  • 🦴 Causes Joint Damage & TMJ: the position Rockville puts your jaw in is unnatural. Your mouth is so far open, and you apply high force in this already awkward position- placing extreme stress on your jaw hinge. Medical experts detest this type of jawline exerciser
  • ⚛️ Don't Know What it's Made of: they don't say anywhere if Rockville has been tested or if it is made with food-grade silicon. Some cheap exercisers made in China can contain microplastics that you'll end up ingesting. I'd want to know before I put it in my mouth and start chewing on it
  • 🦷 Damages Your Teeth – this device applies all the pressure to your front incisor teeth. These teeth are made for piercing and tearing, NOT for grinding and applying high force like the molar teeth are. I'm surprised their aren't more stories of people damaging their teeth with Rockville
  • 🤮 Produces Insane Amount of Saliva  you need to keep a bowl underneath your chin to catch all the liquid that pours out of your mouth
  • 🤡 Looks Like a BDSM Ball Gag  you can't use Rockville in public... It looks too weird and it makes you gag

4. JawFit

 JawFit

✅ PROS

  • 💪 Works the Masseter Muscle: this an achievement itself because most jawline exercisers don't actually workout your jaw! They stimulate the temporalis muscle on the side of your head, above your year
  • 🦴 Zero Joint Damage: chewing a small object (or food) is a natural movement for your jaw, teeth and gums. You won't stress any muscles, joints or get TMJ. I can't say the same for some of the other jawline exercisers

    ❌ CONS

      • ⚛️ Don't Know What it's Made of: they don't say anywhere if JawFit has been tested or if it is made with food-grade silicon. Some cheap exercisers made in China can contain microplastics that you'll end up ingesting. I'd want to know before I put it in my mouth and start chewing on it
      • 🚨 Breaks INSANELY Easily  this is the main reason the Jawfit is on this list. It's the only molar-based jaw trainer on the list because it falls apart... THE FIRST TIME YOUR USE IT!

      5. JawGenie

      JawGenie

      ✅ PROS

      • ...

        ❌ CONS

        • 🙃 You'll Get a ROUND Face: I'm guessing that's not what you want right? Jaw exercisers that force your mouth to be so wide open, workout the temporalis muscles on the side of your head. Not your masseter muscle. That means the top half of your head will grow wider and more muscular. Not the lower part (your jawline).
        • 🦴 Causes Joint Damage & TMJ: the position JawGenie puts your jaw in is unnatural. Your mouth is so far open, and you apply high force in this already awkward position- placing extreme stress on your jaw hinge. Medical experts detest this type of jawline exerciser.
        • ⚛️ Don't Know What it's Made of: they don't say anywhere if JawGenie has been tested or if it is made with food-grade silicon.
I'm surprised their aren't more stories of people damaging their teeth with JawGenie
        • 🤮 Produces Insane Amount of Saliva  you need to keep a bowl underneath your chin to catch all the liquid that pours out of your mouth
        • 🤡 Looks Like a BDSM Ball Gag  you can't use JawGenie in public... It looks too weird and it makes you gag
        • 💶 INSANELY EXPENSIVE  for $119.99 a pop, I think JawGenie is the most expensive jawline exerciser in the world. It's also one of the worst

        6. JawFlex

        JawFlex Ultimate - jaw exerciser

        ✅ PROS

        • 🔶 Available on Amazoneasy to get your hands on if you want one

        ❌ CONS

        • 💰 EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE: I'm shocked every time I see the price. Who pays $60 for that thing?? And that's the cheapest you'll find. I even found one listed for $130! It's not effective enough to justify spending that price.
        • 🍦 It's a Half Measure: JawFlex tries to simulate a proper chewing motion- but it's not really even close. Why not just actually chew instead? Using mastic gum is the best chewing option.
        • 🤡 Awkward: it's so uncomfortable that it's hard to use it. It's also not something you would pull out in public.
        • ⚛️ Don't Know What it's Made of: they don't say anywhere if JawFlex has been tested or if it is made with food-grade silicon. Some cheap exercisers made in China can contain microplastics that you'll end up ingesting. I'd want to know before I put it in my mouth and start chewing on it
        • 🦴 Causes Joint Damage & TMJ: the position JawFlex puts your jaw in is unnatural. Your mouth is so far open, and you apply high force in this already awkward position- placing extreme stress on your jaw hinge. Medical experts detest this type of jawline exerciser.

        7. JawForce

            9. Infinibi

            Infinibi jaw exerciser

            ✅ PROS

            • 🛠 Doesn't Break as Quickly As Jawzrsize: I know, it's not much of a benefit. The rubber used to make Infinibi is more durable and the seams are attached better than most jawline exercisers of this type.
            • 🔶 Available on Amazoneasy to get your hands on if you want one

🏁 SUMMARY: 10 WORST Jawline Exercisers

🏆  Molar-Based Exercisers and Chewing Gums are the Best for Your Jawline

Trying to chisel your jawline safely? Chewing gums and molar-based exercisers are the best way to do it. Chewing with the molars is a natural movement, so there aren't any risks.

⚠️  Incisor-Based Jawline Exercisers Will Cause Severe Jaw Problems

Most jawline exercisers don't actually workout your jaw. They train the temporalis muscle above your ear on the side of your head.

Exercisers like Jawzrsize make you chew with your mouth wide open. This puts enormous strain on your jaw hinge and will lead to a myriad of problems in the future.
